Since it burst onto the Brisbane coffee scene in 2011, Pourboy Espresso has made a name for itself as one of Brisbane’s best espresso bars. Six years later, renowned coffee connoisseur Sebastian Butler-White will be expanding his hugely popular Pourboy Espresso operation on Wharf Street with Pourboy, a 188sqm space offering distinctive brews, breakfast, lunch and evening menus and indoor and outdoor seating.
Catering for the after work and weekend crowds, Pourboy will also operate as wine bar in the evenings offering a diverse and ever changing array of boutique wines and beers.
Butler-White, famed for his focus on speciality coffee, brings an expertise developed by years of working in Australia’s foremost espresso bars and restaurants. Using some of the world’s most exciting blends and state of the art machinery, alongside alternative brewing methods, Pourboy’s fast paced, attentive service has seen it become a permanent fixture on local hot lists, including Top 10 coffee spots on Brisbane Times Good Food Guide for four years running. Butler-White is joined by Head Chef Jarrod Breust who brings a wealth of experience in hatted restaurants including Bilson’s and Bridge Room in Sydney.
The interior design concept developed by TD Creative Agency, has evolved from the desire to provide a fresh and uplifting takeaway and dining experience that caters to both the offices above and the community surrounding. The design elements include an open floor plan, a linear kitchen and bar and tactile elements such as oak and timber. Exciting aesthetics and functional elements collide to form a truly refined space.
From a Kickstarter breakfast or light lunch to an after work drink with matching share plate, Pourboy’s Southpoint location will unite specialty coffee lovers with those seeking a rewarding and relaxed wining and dining experience.
Pourboy, Southpoint, is due to open in February 2017.
