The long anticipated Pourboy flagship café will be opening its doors with open arms on Wednesday 17 May from 6am at the new Southpoint precinct in South Bank.

Since it burst onto the Brisbane coffee scene in 2011, Pourboy’s little brother Pourboy Espresso has made a name for itself as one of Brisbane’s best espresso bars. Six years later, Pourboy South Bank promises to deliver the same exceptional level of service, food and coffee that has made it famous.

The 178sqm space will offer outstanding coffee and café dining seven days a week as well as cater to the evening crowd; becoming a stylish wine bar Thursday to Saturday evenings. Exciting aesthetics and functional elements collide to form a truly refined and inviting space.

Pourboy’s owner Sebastian Butler-White, famed for his focus on speciality coffee, brings an expertise developed by years of working in Australia’s foremost espresso bars and restaurants. Using some of the world’s most exciting blends and state of the art machinery, alongside alternative brewing methods, Pourboy will be sure to surpass the expectations of even the most scrupulous coffee connoisseur.

Butler-White also brings with him years of expertise as a qualified sommelier, having worked in some of the country’s best fine dining restaurants (such as Marque and Aria) and has scoured the globe for wines that are stunning examples of the region and variety. Butler-White is joined by Head Chef Jarrod Breust who came to the Pourboy Espresso team 18 months ago with a wealth of experience in hatted restaurants including Bilson’s and Bridge Room in Sydney. The menu at Pourboy promises to deliver state of the art café fare during day time hours, providing a smooth and sensuous transition into the evening with charcuterie plates and tasty morsels to share.

Pourboy’s Southpoint location promises to unite specialty coffee lovers with those seeking a rewarding and relaxed wining and dining experience.
